Our Community

We are proud to be a Guernsey law firm. Guernsey advocates have a long and strong tradition of activity within the Guernsey community and we want to continue that tradition. We believe that our responsibilities extend beyond our client work. Through an active programme of pro bono work, arts and charitable initiatives, our people are encouraged to develop strong links with the community in which we work.

On the charity front, we don’t want to make a fuss about what we do; that rather takes away from the point of it. If you are interested, we provide a monthly update in the community section of our e-update, the Red Letter. Our people have participated in events such as the Guernsey marathon, Movember and the annual Santa Fun Run.  We also have a charity committee, which oversees our charitable initiatives.

We also believe that there’s more to giving than money. We believe very strongly in working with Guernsey’s schoolchildren and students to help equip them for life. We provide lots of educational workshops and advice facilities, such as business workshops for the Guernsey College of Further Education and free seminars to the Citizens Advice Bureau. We also award an annual bursary to law students.
