Your privacy is very important to us at AO Hall.  We are registered under the Data Protection (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2001 (as amended) (the “Law”) with the Data Protection Commissioner of Guernsey. The Data Protection Commissioner’s address is P.O. This privacy notice explains what AO Hall does with personal data. All personal data provided to us is handled in accordance with the Law and this privacy notice. By using this website and subscribing to services provided by AO Hall (including free information services), you consent to us using your personal data in the ways we have set out below. 
 
Some areas of our website might ask you to register with us before we will provide certain information or make certain services available to you. For example, we may ask you to give us information in relation to your interests.   We ask for this information for several reasons. These reasons include: to enable us to understand our users’ needs better; to collect aggregate information about users’ needs and behaviour; to provide more tailored products and services to you; to provide you with information about products, services, seminars and events which we offer; and, to audit usage of our website. You are not required to give us this information but, if you do give it to us, this will be treated as consent on your part to us contacting you and collecting information for these purposes. 
 
Apart from any information which you give us voluntarily, the only information which we will collect from you on this website is your email address and contact details.  
 
We never sell or pass on our databases to enable third parties to market their products or services directly to you. However, we may need to pass your details to third parties engaged by us or with whom we work in the following circumstances:
(1)   if you are a client, we may pass your details to a third party.  We might wish to do this for a number of reasons, such as to enable us to carry out work for you, for training purposes and/or for credit control purposes.
(2)   we may need to pass your details on to a third party in relation to the holding and management of an event, in which case the information will only be used by that third party for that specific purpose.
(3)   where services to AO Hall are provided by an external provider. For example, we have arrangements in place with service providers in relation to IT systems and support, document creation and management and research services.
 
We may collect some information from your use of this website through ‘cookies’. Cookies are temporary internet files which are placed on your computer’s hard drive by your internet browser. These allow us to collect information such as the time spent on our website, means of entry/exit and the pages used.  They help us improve the website and deliver an effective service. Most browsers have a facility that allows you to disable cookies – please refer to your browser’s help menu to find out how to do this. Although you will still be able to browse through most of our website, when cookies are disabled certain features may not be available.
 
Save as set out above, any information which AO Hall holds or collects will not be disclosed to third parties, except as required or permitted by law or any regulatory body.
 
To make sure that we follow your instructions correctly, and to improve our service through training of our staff, we may monitor any communication between you and us.
 
We may also contact you from time to time to ensure that the information which we hold in relation to you is accurate. You are entitled to ask for a copy of your information, for which we may charge a small fee (currently £10) and to ask for any inaccuracies to be corrected.
